There are two key factors play in this growth. On the one hand, the incorporation of new generic top level domains opened new options for the industry. It is important to remember that new TLDs are being discussed and probably some of them may be available between 2011 and 2012.

Moreover, the importance of IPv6 has taken, having exhausted the possibilities offered by IPv4, also plays a role in the story to allow for further expansion. This change will be structurally important for the Internet and by 2011 will be key in this regard. It will be time for testing and migration services and providers will need to keep up with this new technology.
